Meat Phyllo Rolls

Total Time: 1 hr 55 mins Preparation Time: 1 hr 30 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 72
  • 2 lbs hamburger
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • butter, for phyllo dough
  • 1 lb phyllo dough

Recipe

  • 1 saute hamburger until brown.
  • 2 add wine,raisins, pine nuts,and spices.
  • 3 stir until liquid is absorbed.
  • 4 cool.
  • 5 cut phyllo into 3 strips.
  • 6 butter the phyllo.
  • 7 place 1 tbsp of filling at the base.
  • 8 tuck each side in about 1/2 inch.
  • 9 roll up.
  • 10 it should look like a sleeping bag.
  • 11 brush the top with butter.
  • 12 they can be frozen at this point.
  • 13 place seam side down on a cookie sheet.
  • 14 bake at 375* until golden (25 minutes).
  • 15 45 minutes if frozen.
