Sage Pecan Cheese Wafers

Ingredients

- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon rubbed sage
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/3 cup butter, cut into small pieces
Recipe
- 1 process cheese, flour, pecans, sage, salt and cayenne pepper in food processor fitted with steel blade for 10 seconds or until blended.
- 2 add butter gradually, processing constantly until mixture forms a ball.
- 3 roll 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured surface.
- 4 cut with 1 and 1/2 inch round cutter.
- 5 place on ungreased baking sheet.
- 6 bake at 350°f for 12 to 14 minutes or until edges turn brown.
- 7 remove to wire rack to cool completely.
