Sage Pecan Cheese Wafers

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 36
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon rubbed sage
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/3 cup butter, cut into small pieces

Recipe

  • 1 process cheese, flour, pecans, sage, salt and cayenne pepper in food processor fitted with steel blade for 10 seconds or until blended.
  • 2 add butter gradually, processing constantly until mixture forms a ball.
  • 3 roll 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured surface.
  • 4 cut with 1 and 1/2 inch round cutter.
  • 5 place on ungreased baking sheet.
  • 6 bake at 350°f for 12 to 14 minutes or until edges turn brown.
