Garlic Hummus

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 large onion, minced
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cups cooked chickpeas, drained & rinsed if canned (garbanzos)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup tahini (sesame paste)
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds, toasted & ground

Recipe

  • 1 saute onion and garlic in oil until vegetables are soft.
  • 2 set aside.
  • 3 in blender or food processor puree the chickpeas with the onion, garlic, lemon juice, soy sauce, tahini and sesame seeds.
