Ingredients

- 1 1/2 lbs whole roma tomatoes, unpealed
- 1/2 medium onion, cut into chunks
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 -3 fresh jalapeno peppers
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 -3 tablespoons vinegar (cider or cane)
Recipe
- 1 heat broiler. place tomatoes on a small baking sheet lined with foil. broil 15-18 minutes, turning a couple times until soft, skins have split, and there are some dark spots. allow to cool slightly.
- 2 place tomatoes with rest of ingredients in a blender. puree. serve warm or refrigerate for later use.
