Pickled Banana Peppers

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon pickling spices
  • 1/2 cup water
  • banana pepper

Recipe

  • 1 use hot or sweet (or a combination) of banana peppers.
  • 2 cut 1 slit in the side of each pepper.
  • 3 pack peppers uniformly in jars.
  • 4 mix together turmeric, salt, honey, pickling spices, and water and bring to a rolling boil.
  • 5 pour over peppers in jar and seal.
  • 6 prepare one jar at a time so the brine will continue boiling.
  • 7 process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
