Ham Rolls

Total Time: 3 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 3 hrs Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 30
  • 3/4 cup milk, scalded, then cooled
  • 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 ounce yeast (1 envelope)
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 lbs ham, ground
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • salt & pepper

Recipe

  • 1 mix margarine, sugar and salt in large bowl.
  • 2 add egg and mix.
  • 3 dissolve yeast in warm water.
  • 4 add milk.
  • 5 mix well.
  • 6 add flour and yeast mixture to bowl, and mix well.
  • 7 knead until smooth.
  • 8 place in greased bowl, cover and let rise until double.
  • 9 after dough has risen, punch down.
  • 10 roll out small amounts of dough, creating little circles.
  • 11 fill with ham mixture.
  • 12 pinch edges.
  • 13 brush tops with egg wash.
  • 14 bake at 375* 10-15 minutes.
  • 15 to freeze: flash freeze cooked rolls on a cookie sheet, wrap and label.
  • 16 to reheat: microwave until heated through.
