Empanada Crust

Total Time: 1 hr 50 mins Preparation Time: 1 hr 30 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup water
  • cornstarch, to prevent dough from sticking
  • oil (for deep frying)

Recipe

  • 1 sift together flour, walt, and sugar. set aside.
  • 2 in a large bowl, combine egg yolks, water, and cooking oil.
  • 3 add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. mix thoroughly.
  • 4 knead until dough is smooth and satiny.
  • 5 cover and let rest for 1 hour.
