It's Good -but Don't Juaktc (jump Up And Kiss The Cook)

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 large red onion
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 3/4 cup fat-free cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup low-fat mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 egg whites

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375 degrees f.
  • 2 to prepare onion (you are going to create an onion much like the appetizers served at many restaraunts) slice bottom off onion, so it will stand flat.
  • 3 going around onion, cut 20- 30 slits, starting your cut in the center of the onion.
  • 4 don't cut all the way through, your slits should resemble petals from a flower.
  • 5 set aside.
  • 6 mix bread crumbs, garlic powder,paprika, and set aside.
  • 7 mix together egg whites in a medium bowl and dip onion in to coat.
  • 8 on a small plate, coat onion dipped in egg with bread crumb mixture.
  • 9 spray lightly with cooking spray.
  • 10 place on a cookie sheet coated lightly with cooking spray and bake 40-50 minutes until onion is tender.
  • 11 while onion is cooking, prepare spicy dipping sauce.
  • 12 place cottage cheese, mayonaise,horse radish, cayenne pepper, and salt and pepper in a blender.
  • 13 blend until smooth.
  • 14 dip onion petals into sauce and enjoy!
