Empanadas De Pina (pineapple)

Total Time: 17 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) jar pineapple preserves, well drained
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar, for rolling (or more)

Recipe

  • 1 mix all ingredients except preserves.
  • 2 knead into dough, roll out and cut with biscuit cutter, making a round circle.
  • 3 place slightly less than a teaspoon of preserves in each cut shape.
  • 4 fold and crimp edges together with fork.
  • 5 bake on a cookie sheet at 350 degrees f until light beige, about 12 minutes.
  • 6 after baking, roll in confectioners' sugar.
