Slow Cooker Fondue

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 2 cups wine
- 1 lb swiss cheese, grated (can use emmental or gruyere)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 put the wine in the slow cooker and cook on high for 1 hour.
- 2 dredge the cheese in the flour.
- 3 add the cheese and flour, plus salt and pepper to taste, to the hot wine.
- 4 do not stir!
- 5 cover and cook for 1/2 hour.
- 6 stir until smooth.
- 7 continue to cook for 1/2 hour more.
- 8 stir to make sure there are no chunks of unmelted cheese remaining.
- 9 *your preference: you can add a fiery cherry brandy (kirshwasser) just before serving.
