Pesto Cream Cheese Spread

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup pesto sauce
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • assorted cracker
  • raw vegetables

Recipe

  • 1 line a 5-3/4x3" loaf pan with plastic wrap.
  • 2 in a small bowl, combine cream cheese and garlic powder until well blended; set aside.
  • 3 in a bowl, combine parmesan cheese, butter and pesto sauce until blended.
  • 4 gradually stir in olive oil.
  • 5 spread about 1/4 cup cream cheese mixture into prepared pan.
  • 6 carefully spread with 1/3 pesto mixture.
  • 7 repeat layers twice.
  • 8 top with remaining cream cheese mixture.
  • 9 cover and refrigerate at least 5 hours.
  • 10 un-mold; serve with crackers and veggies.
  • 11 note: to get nice layers refrigerate first cream cheese layer until firm then top with even layer of pesto mix. refrigerate after each layer.
