Sausage (my Grandpa's Homemade)

Total Time: 24 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 24 hrs

Ingredients

  • 5 lbs ground beef
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons mustard seeds
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon hickory smoke salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons liquid smoke
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 5 teaspoons quick salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt

Recipe

  • 1 mix well.
  • 2 let stand overnight in "fridge".
  • 3 next day: roll into 2 loafs.
  • 4 wrap in foil.
  • 5 bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours.
  • 6 allow to cool before serving.
