Potato Pancakes With Caviar

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 5
  • 2 lbs potatoes
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 4 ounces onions, minced
  • 2 ounces flour
  • nutmeg
  • salt
  • pepper (to taste)
  • 4 ounces vegetable oil
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1 ounce black caviar
  • 1 bunch dill

Recipe

  • 1 peel and coarsely grate potatoes.
  • 2 transfer grated potatoes in bowl and add beaten eggs, onions, flour, and seasoning.
  • 3 mix well.
  • 4 heat the oil.
  • 5 form the potato mixture into silver dollar sized pancakes and pan-fry.
  • 6 turn them once when well browned on the first side.
  • 7 remove them from the pan and dry pancakes in a paper towel.
  • 8 garnish the pancakes with sour cream, caviar and a sprig of dill.
