Empanada Crust

Total Time: 1 hr 50 mins Preparation Time: 1 hr 30 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • cornstarch, for dusting
  • oil (for frying)

Recipe

  • 1 sift flour, salt, and sugar. set aside.
  • 2 in a large bowl, combine eggs, water, and cooking oil. add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  • 3 knead until dough is smooth adn satiny. divide dough into two portions.
  • 4 cover and let rest for at least one hour.
  • 5 sprinkle work area with cornstarch. roll out into 4 or 5 inch diameter circles.
  • 6 fill with filling.
  • 7 fry in oil.
