Fresh Fruit Orange Dip

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice concentrate, thawed and undiluted
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange rind
  • 1 1/3 cups whipping cream

Recipe

  • 1 combine egg yolks, sugar, and salt in top of double boiler.
  • 2 water must be boiling.
  • 3 you must watch mixture and stir constantly.
  • 4 turn down heat and cook until it reaches 165 degrees.
  • 5 the mixture will be thick and light in color.
  • 6 remove pan from stove and stir in orange juice and orange rind.
  • 7 cool.
  • 8 beat whipping cream until soft peaks form.
  • 9 fold in cooled orange mixture into whipping cream.
  • 10 cover and chill at least 2 hours.
  • 11 serve with your favorite fresh fruit.
