Sauerbraten Meatballs Weight Watchers Points Friendly

Ingredients
- 1 lb 93% lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 16 small gingersnaps, finely crushed and divided in half
- 2 cups nonfat beef broth
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Recipe
- 1 1. preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- 2 2. combine meat, onion egg , salt, pepper and half of the ginger snaps. gently combine and form into 30 coctail size meatballs.
- 3 3. place meatballs on a rack in a shallow pan.
- 4 4. bake meatballs for about 15-20 minutes until browned.
- 5 5. combine beef broth, apple cider, sugar and the rest of the crushed gingersnaps in a saucepan. simmer over low heat, stirring often, until thick and smooth.
- 6 6. add cooked meatballs to gravy and simmer for 15 minutes.
