Red Pepper Humus (humus Bil Filfil Hamra)

Total Time: 24 mins Preparation Time: 4 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 (16 ounce) cans chickpeas
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 3 tablespoons red pepper paste
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed

Recipe

  • 1 in a small pot add the caned chick peas and bring to a simmer just to get it a bit softer.
  • 2 strain and add the chickpeas to a processor with the tahini sauce and puree until smooth.
  • 3 add lemon,garlic,red pepper paste,salt and cayenne pepper.
  • 4 place in a plate garnish with parsley, serve with pita bread.
