Ken's Fried Potatoes

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 2 -3 russet potatoes
  • 1 quart whole milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 egg whites
  • vegetable oil (for deep frying)

Recipe

  • 1 peel skin off potatoes. clean potatoes.
  • 2 cut potatoes lengthwise into 1/2 inch or less.
  • 3 let potatoes soak in milk half hour or longer.
  • 4 meanwhile, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  • 5 in a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until bubbly.
  • 6 dip potatoes into egg whites, then into flour mixture.
  • 7 deep fry a few potatoes at a time for 5-6 minutes.
  • 8 drain access grease from potatoes when done.
  • 9 serve hot.
