My Greek Meatballs

Ingredients

- 2 slices bread (crusts removed, torn)
- 1/4 cup ouzo
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup onion (minced)
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 2 teaspoons mint (minced)
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- fresh cracked pepper (to taste)
- flour (as needed)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
Recipe
- 1 soak bread in ouzo for 5 minutes. squeeze dry.
- 2 heat oil in a skillet.
- 3 add onions. saute 3 minutes. remove. let cool.
- 4 stir into bread, turkey, egg, mint, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper.
- 5 shape into meatballs. coat with flour.
- 6 place on a rack over a baking sheet. chill 1 hour.
- 7 heat oil in a skillet.
- 8 add meatballs. brown 10-15 minutes.
