Hot Sausage Dip (light)

Ingredients
- 1 lb hot italian turkey sausage
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 (10 ounce) cans rotel tomatoes & chilies
- 1 (8 ounce) package neufchatel cheese
- 1 1/2 cups light sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 remove casings from turkey sausage links and brown in a skillet with diced onions and crushed red pepper flakes.
- 2 once turkey sausage is cooked through, drain fat from skillet.
- 3 drain both cans of rotel and add to sausage and onions.
- 4 add cream cheese, sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese to skillet and remove from heat once the cheese has melted and the mixture has combined.
- 5 season to taste with salt and pepper.
- 6 transfer to mini slow cooker to keep warm, and enjoy with thinly sliced baguette or tortilla chips.
