Guacamole Del Turco (avokado Ezmesi)

Ingredients
- 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
- 3 tablespoons greek yogurt (or plain yogurt drained)
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice, to taste
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons cornichons, cut in small cubes (small pickled cucumbers)
- 1 pinch crushed cayenne pepper (optional)
- salt (probably unnecessary because the feta is salty)
- pepper
- 1 tablespoon red onion, chopped
Recipe
- 1 in a large bowl, mash the avocado with the yogurt and lemon juice. stir in the other ingredients except the red onion garnish. i added a little more lemon juice.
- 2 transfer to a serving bowl. garnish the red onion on top. i sprinkled a light dusting of cayenne pepper and scattered a few crumbles of feta on top, too.
- 3 serving suggestions: tortilla chips, toasted pide or turkish bread slices, crackers, french bread, etc.
