Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 lbs potatoes
  • 5 garlic cloves (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar, greek wine vinegar preferred
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt, to taste

Recipe

  • 1 peel potatoes.
  • 2 boil potatoes until soft, then strain.
  • 3 chop garilc.
  • 4 with flat side of a knife, work garlic into salt until a paste forms.
  • 5 place potatoes and garlic paste in a food processor.
  • 6 pulse until mixture becomes a pulp.
  • 7 add vinegar.
  • 8 add olive oil slowly until the mixture becomes unified.

Ingredients

  • 300 g rye flour
  • 50 g lard (or sour cream butter)
  • 1/2 glass water
  • 1 tablespoon crushed caraway seed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 1/2 glass milk (the fatter the better)
  • 50 g sour cream butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 500 g carrots
  • 2 eggs, from happy outdoor chicken
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 make the dough. mix lard or butter with a warm water and caraway, and knead into dough of homogeneous consistency. roll it to 3-5 millimeters thickness. cut out round shapes with a round object (examples, glass or bowl). turn up their edges with height of about 2 cm. place on a baking tray.
  • 2 make the potato filling: mash boiled potatoes, add milk, butter and salt. put a layer of the potato mass on each dough patty until one-third full.
  • 3 make the carrot filling: boiled carrots (unpeeled) smash or rub through a sieve and mix with honey, sour cream and eggs. top the layer of carrot paste on the potato mass and complete the filling.
  • 4 bake in a moderate heat until the filling becomes light brown or golden and the dough turns dry and crusty.
  • 5 just after baking, cover the tarts with sour cream mixed with some honey and vanillin. scatter with cinnamon as desired.
  • 6 serve warm or cooled with milk, buttermilk or "skabputra" (sour porridge).

  • 1 loaf french bread, sliced
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onion

Recipe

  • 1 mix up the ingredients, spread over sliced bread, and broil til golden brown.
  • 2 that's it!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups bite size shredded whole wheat cereal
  • 2 cups popped popcorn
  • 1 cup pretzel
  • 1/2 cup nuts, mixed preferably
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Recipe

  • 1 place first four ingredients in large microwaveable bowl.
  • 2 mix remaining ingredients.
  • 3 drizzle evenly over mixture to coat.
  • 4 microwave on high 4 minutes, stirring after two minutes.

Dreamy Fruit Dip

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream, for topping
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 in a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, whipped cream, brown sugar, sugar, maple syrup and vanilla extract.
  • 2 mix until smooth.
  • 3 serve immediately or chill for later.

Shamefully Easy Guacamole And Chips

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 medium ripe avocados
  • 2 -3 tablespoons old el paso mild taco sauce
  • salt, to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon lemon juice, from a bottle (it's all i had..works in a pinch!)
  • 4 small flour tortillas (or corn, but i like flour)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 cut avocados and scoop out the pulp into a bowl. mash the devil out if it (if you like it chunky, leave it chunky).
  • 3 stir in the taco sauce (more if you like it).
  • 4 salt it to taste and add the lemon juice.
  • 5 place plastic wrap over the surface and refrigerate until the chips are done.
  • 6 for the chips: cut into fourths; brush with a dab of oil (or not for low-fat people).
  • 7 place on a cookie sheet and bake until just lightly browned. place on a serving tray with the bowl of guacamole and serve.

Greek Spinach Dip

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup feta cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups plain yogurt
  • 10 ounces spinach, frozen chopped thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1/2 cup green onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons dill, fresh chopped
  • 2 teaspoons lemon peel, fated
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 mash cheese in a bowl. stir in yogurt, spinach, green onions, dill, lemon peel and salt.
  • 2 mix well.
  • 3 serve at room temperature.
  • 4 can be refrigerated for 2 days.
